कर्म है इनकी निष्काम सेवा, धर्म है उनकी इच्छा में इच्छा,
सौंप दो इनके हाथो में डोरी, ये कृपालु है तंगदिल नहीं है .

You can never repay your Guru for what he has given you, because material treasures cannot pay for spiritual goods, yet the scriptures state emphatically that you must serve your Guru with body, mind and wealth. Your Guru is not stingy with the spiritual gifts he showers upon you, nor does He ever tire of giving you grace. Why do you think that you have served Him enough?
Be greedy in serving the Guru. The best disciple is he who renders service without the Guru asking for it.

माया ने भुलाया जग भाया आठु यामा |
गुरु ने जगाया कहा तेरी एक श्यामा ||

माया के कारण अपने वास्तविक स्वरूप को भूल जाने एवं अपने को शरीर मान लेने के कारण मैं अनादिकाल से निरन्तर संसार में ही अनुरक्त था | गुरु ने इस मोह-निद्रा से जगाकर यह ज्ञान कराया कि तेरी अंशी श्री राधा ही एकमात्र तेरी हैं |

... गुरु की शरण गहो जाय गुरुधामा |
हरि नाम गुण गावो बनो निष्कामा ||

गुरुधाम में जाकर गुरु की शरणागति ग्रहण करो एवं निष्काम भावना से युक्त होकर निरन्तर हरि-गुण-गान करो |
