We are looking for happiness in this material world. Just as butter can only be extracted from milk and it is naive to try to extract butter from limestone water. Similarly, God is Happiness and you can derive True Happiness only from God. Out of ignorance, you are attempting to find that happiness in this material world. We will be able to be completely satisfied and happy until we attain God-realization.

कृष्ण भगवान आवैं गोविंद राधे |
एक कल्प में एक बार बता दे ||
Lord Krishna descends on this earth once every ‘kalp’ (aeon).

सब अवतारों के गोविंद राधे |
... मूल अवतारी श्रीकृष्ण हैं बता दे ||
Out of all the descensions, Krishna's descension is the prime one.

सब अवतार मधुर गोविंदा राधे |
कृष्ण लीला मधुरातिमधुर बता दे ||
All descensions are sweet. However, Krishna's descension is the sweetest one!

कृष्ण अवतार ऐसा गोविंद राधे |
लता पता को भी दिव्य प्रेम दिला दे ||
During Krishna's descension divine love is bestowed even on plants (trees, bushes and vines).

कृष्ण रोम रोम तो गोविंद राधे |
अगणित ब्रह्माण्ड लिपटे बता दे ||
Countless universes are contained in every pore of Krishna’s body.

वे ही कृष्ण यशुदा के गोविंद राधे |
गोद में छोटे से शिशु हैं बता दे ||
The same Krishna is seen in mother Yashoda's lap as a baby!

यद्दपि हरि गुरु दोनों ही जीव के सच्चे हितैषी हैं पर गुरु का महत्व हरि से अधिक इसलिये है क्योंकि हरि ने प्रेम दान करने का अधिकार अपने भक्तों को ही दिया है। हरि स्वयं अपना प्रेम प्रदान नहीं करते। अतः जीव के स्वार्थ की द्रष्टि से गुरु का स्थान ऊँचा है क्योंकि जब गुरु कृपा करता है तब ही हरि की प्राप्ति होती है।

भगवत्कृपा का सबसे पक्का प्रमाण , भगवज्जन मिलन है , कृपा से लाभ लेना तभी संभव है , जब इस कृपा को बार - बार चिंतन में लाया जाय । भगवज्जन का यदि दर्शन मात्र प्राप्त हो जाय तो बार - बार चिंतन कर आनन्द विभोर होना चाहिए । क्योंकि उनके दर्शन को पाने या दिलाने की सामर्थ्य किसी भी साधना में नहीं है । यदि दर्शन के अतिरिक्त और भी सामीप्य मिल जाय फिर तो बात ही क्या है। यदि उस अमूल्य निधि को पाकर भी साधारण भावना या चिन्तन रहा तो महान कृतघ्नता एवं महान दुर्भाग्य ही होगा , क्योंकि इससे अधिक हमें क्या पाना शेष है।
