Be a lover of God and not of the world. Do not beg your God and Master for health, wealth and material goods.When you bow to God but desire world, you love not the creator but his creations.If you insist on asking something, ask the same thing as Prahlad: "God! Kindly destroy the very seed of desire that exists in my heart."

The most important is smaran (engagement of the mind in loving remembrance). The senses may or may not be involved in devotion.

साधकों को सावधान करते हुये कहा है ; भगवान् एवं भगवज्जन के कार्य लीला मात्र हैं। लीला रसास्वादन हेतु होती है। बुद्धि का प्रयोग लीला में वर्जित है। भगवान् के सभी नाम , रूप , लीला, गुण , धाम व जन दिव्य हैं। यानी सांसारिक बुद्धि का प्रयोग करने से जीव भ्रम में पड़ जायगा। ' संशयात्मा विनश्यति ' रामावतार में सीता को खोजते हुये , अज्ञात का अभिमान करते हुये श्रीराम को देखकर सती को भ्रम हो गया। वे उन्हें साधारण राजकुमार समझ कर परीक्षा ले बैठीं। परिणाम स्वरूप भगवान् शिव ने उनका परित्याग कर दिया। पुनः पार्वती के रूप में भगवान् शिव के मुख से श्रद्धा पूर्वक रामचरित्र सुना। सती द्वारा संशय किये जाने से संसार को रामचरित्र प्राप्त हुआ। सती ने स्वयं शंका कर संसार को यह दिखाया कि भगवत्लीला में संशय नहीं करना चाहिये।

जैसे कोई अन्धा किसी दूसरे अन्धे से कहे तू नेत्रवान है मुझे घर पहुँचा दे , उसी प्रकार संसार में किसी भी प्राणी के पास सुख नहीं है किन्तु परस्पर सभी एक दुसरे से सुख की आशा लगाये हैं।

A material human intellect doesn't have the capacity to decipher the deeper Divine meanings of these sacred writings of Scriptures Vedas, Ramayana, Mahabharata, Puranas, Upanishads.
